Optional Gmail import, clearly explained
You can use HOP without connecting Gmail. Google grants HOP read-only access across your Gmail mailbox. HOP searches for likely booking messages, but those filters do not narrow the permission Google grants.
- Connecting your Google account does not start an import. You separately review and accept HOP’s booking-processing terms before enabling import.
- After you enable it, HOP initially checks about 14 days of mail and then checks for new matching messages. Searching older mail is a separate action you choose.
- HOP’s server temporarily processes candidate message text and supported PDF or image attachments. After you accept the separate HOP import terms, booking content may be sent to OpenAI to recognise flight details. Mail credentials and HOP sign-in tokens are not sent to OpenAI.
- Clear bookings may be added automatically; uncertain details are shown for review. HOP does not send, modify or delete your messages.
You stay in control
Pause or disconnect a mailbox in HOP, or revoke HOP’s access from your Google account. Disconnecting keeps trips you have already saved. Google API data is not sold, used for advertising or used to train AI models. OpenAI may retain API content in abuse-monitoring records for up to 30 days; see the privacy policy for details.
Account deletion
To request account deletion, open Profile → Delete account in HOP. The app checks whether the server is ready before starting; if deletion is unavailable, it tells you and removes no data.
